Some Random Points & Highlights about SDC –
Saraswati Dental College and Hospital, Lucknow is an ISO 9001:2008 Certified College and has been accredited ‘A’ grade by the NAAC. It was also placed 27th by NIRF-2021 amidst all the dental colleges of India.
It was established in 1998 and was acclaimed as the number 1 Private Dental College of India in 2019.
The campus stretches across 6.4 acres of land and the Institute's building compasses around 2,00,000 sq. ft area including a fully fledged running dental hospital, library, auditorium, canteen with a yoga centre and a sports ground alongwith the hostel facilities for UG & PG( boys & girls both). The campus also boast of having an emergency hospital and a Nursing Institute.
An Incubation centre called ‘SPARK’ for students and faculty is present on the campus to offer all the necessary resources for accessing new ventures and to offer startups.
Initially, the admission for SDC were accorded on the basis of qualifying UP Dental CAT Exam. Now SDC grants admission based upon NEET UG/PG only.
There's an orientation program held for freshers which includes the city tour and to catch a movie. So not only the freshers can enjoy the charm of Lucknow, but they can also have a movie time! This actually makes a great way for bonding, kinship and friendship between the students.
The students are also given membership for rotary club.
Dental camps organized by the Department of Periodontology and Department of Public Health Dentistry are held every month in rural areas and government schools/colleges.
International & National Seminars, CDE programs and Webinars are often held for broadening the horizon of learning aspects of the students.
