I like to spend my free time surfing the internet. I engage in a range of activities such as streaming movies or TV shows, reading articles on topics of interest, connecting with friends on social media, or even learning new skills through educational platforms.

A

Orthodontics is my favorite subject in dentistry since it involves the intricate art of aligning teeth and enhancing smiles. The combination of technical skill, aesthetic impact, and the potential to positively influence a person's confidence makes it a rewarding and enjoyable field of study.

Extraction of teeth

What do you enjoy more, doing an RCT or extracting teeth? 

A

I find greater enjoyment in tooth extractions compared to performing root canal treatments due to my appreciation for the meticulous surgical aspect involved. The precision and skill required in extracting teeth evoke a sense of satisfaction, as I navigate the complexities of the procedure with a surgical mindset.

What are some challenges you face in your professional field?

A

The challenge I face in my dental practice is staying Up-To-Date with dental technology and incorporating it into practice can be demanding for providing quality patient care.

How would your friends describe you? 

A

I think my friends would describe me as a resilient and compassionate woman.

What has been the best/ most memorable moment in your dental school so far?

A

I was a member of the scientific and cultural committee during my undergraduate days in dental school. My most cherished memories are organizing scientific meetings and cultural events together with my classmates.

Has dentistry impacted your food choices? Like, do you consume less sugary and sticky food items? 

A

Yes, dentistry has reduced my intake frequency of confectionery. I also make it a routine to rinse my mouth with water after eating such foods.

A

Brushing my teeth twice a day and flossing once a day. Routine dental checkups at least once a year.

If given a choice, what alternate career would you have opted for?

A

I would have become a software engineer since computers and their associated technology are determining the future path of the world.

A

I aspire to further my dental research journey within one of the world's acclaimed research institutes. My passion for research stems from a desire to deepen my understanding of oral health, explore innovative treatments, and contribute to advancements in the field.
