  1. What do you do?

I'm pursuing my Master of Public Health (MPH) from the National Institute of Public Health Training and Research (NIPHTR). I also have a clinic in Nagpur which is handled by another doctor, but I keep an eye on the proceedings there from Mumbai.

  2. What’s the best part of your profession? What made you choose this profession?

I worked as a Medical officer in the government sector and worked as a Medical officer during COVID as well. I realized a lot of loopholes in the public health sector, so I decided to pursue MPH. The best part is that I get to communicate and work with people from rural and even tribal areas. It is very important that we penetrate these marginalized communities and help them with their health-related needs.

  3. Do you like reading? What was the last thing you read?

I'm not much into reading. The last thing I read was a book on Epidemiology.

  4. What is your favorite dish?

Paneer Butter Masala with Butter Roti

  5. How would your friend describe you?
A risk taker (Because I decided to keep my practice on hold and pursue MPH at the age of 31). They also call me sort of street-smart.

  6. Who would you like to travel with?

    With family, friend(s) and colleagues.

  7. What is your least favourite subject?

    Statistics

  8. Your favourite subject(s)?

Reproductive Maternal Newborn and Child Health + Adolescent Health (RMNCH+A).

  9. What’s something you wish to change about the world?

I would change the entire concept of violence and the people who unnecessarily opt for it.

  10. If your journey was/were a movie, what would it be called?

    Live and Let Live

  11. What are you passionate about?

I'm passionate about traveling and riding bikes.

  12. Best/memorable moment

Getting my Bachelor's degree, starting my clinic, and publishing my paper at a national-level Ayurveda conference.

  13. What do you love to do in your leisure time?

I like to go out with my friends and ride my bike.

  14. What do you hate the most?

People who lack accountability or people who fail to take responsibility.

  15. If given a choice, what alternate career would you have opted for?

A government officer of any kind.

  16. What is your dream travel destination?

    Europe

  17. Where would you like to work in future?

A state epidemiologist or program manager.

  18. Finally, a Quote you relate to.

A hungry stomach and an empty wallet teach you many lessons in life.
