  1. What do you do?

    I'm currently pursuing my Masters of Public Health (MPH) from the National Institute of Public Health Training and Research (NIPHTR), Mumbai.

  2. What’s the best part of your profession? What made you choose this profession?

    I have completed my graduation in Dentistry. However, after dentistry, I started working at the multinational firm Tata Consultancy Services (TCS). I started as a Drug Safety Associate, followed by a Drug Safety Specialist, and finally a Quality Control Specialist. However, I still thought something was incomplete. One day while reading the newspaper, I found an advertisement for my current university regarding admissions for a Master of Public Health. After doing some research, it occurred to me that pursuing this postgraduate degree actually excited me. It was a big risk to leave my job after 2 years of hard work. However, I still took the risk as MPH was something that would allow me to merge my medical background with my corporate experience.

  3. Do you like reading? What was the last thing you read?

    Not an avid reader. The last thing I read was some finance books like Rich Dad and Poor Dad.

  4. What is your favorite dish?

    I love Soyabean Chilli.

  5. How would your friend describe you?
    Introverted, nerdy, and just a bit different.

  6. Who would you like to travel with?

    With friend(s) and colleagues.

  7. What is your least favourite subject?

    Epidemiology, Health Finance, Health Systems Research, Health Insurance

    Public health dentistry in BDS, Reproductive and Maternal Health in MPH

  9. What’s something you wish to change about the world?

    People hurting each other both physically and mentally.

  10. If your journey was/were a movie, what would it be called?

    He came, he saw, and he conquered.

  11. What are you passionate about?

    Passionate about making public health a digital field by merging my corporate and pharmaceutical experiences. I'm also passionate about research.

  12. Best/memorable moment

    Receiving my BDS degree. Getting into Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) as a Dentist and getting promoted twice. Also getting admission to MPH in a central government Institute.

  13. What do you love to do in your leisure time?

    I usually try to learn about the stock market and gaming.

  14. What do you hate the most?
    People not understanding and considering the mental health of someone.

  15. If given a choice, what alternate career would you have opted for?

    A management-related position but still in a pharmaceutical company.

  16. What is your dream travel destination?

    Paris

  17. Where would you like to work in future?

    I would like to work in WHO. I would also like to work as a Research Associate in a firm like Pfizer.
