An 11-year-old girl was admitted to the hospital in critical condition after she was gangraped by her two cousins, both minors, in Rajasthan's Udaipur. The incident was reported from the Ambamata Thana area of Udaipur.

According to sources, the girl had visited her paternal aunt's residence, where two of her cousins, aged 13 and 15 years, raped her.

Soon after, the girl's health deteriorated due to severe internal injuries, following which she was rushed to the hospital by her relatives.

Medical professionals promptly performed an operation to stabilise her condition.

The incident was reported after the minor girl narrated her ordeal to the doctors treating her. She also told her family and doctors that both her cousins had threatened her with dire consequences if she complained about the incident to anyone.

In this regard, a case was registered at the Ambamata Police Station and both the accused were questioned.

Police sources said the accused would be taken into custody and will be transferred to a juvenile detention center to await further legal proceedings.

Meanwhile, DSP Chetna Bhati, leading the investigation, expressed deep concern over the incident and assured the public that the matter would be thoroughly probed.
