A recent incident in Navi Mumbai has led to the registration of a case against 15 CISF personnel for allegedly assaulting a doctor and his family. The incident occurred on a recent day when the doctor's car overtook a CISF bus, which then approached the car dangerously close.
The doctor, who is also a local political figure, pursued the bus, demanding it to stop, leading to a heated argument. Witnesses reported that CISF personnel exited the bus and confronted the doctor, allegedly assaulting him and his companions.
The complainant also claimed that some of the CISF personnel involved in the attack were drunk, but fled after the incident. A case has been registered against 10 to 15 CISF personnel under relevant sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita for rioting and assault and notices have been issued to them

In response to the allegations, the CISF personnel filed a counter-complaint against the doctor, claiming that he had instigated the aggression. The CISF personnel alleged that the doctor had used abusive language and had tried to hit them with his car.
The police are investigating the matter and have registered cases against both parties. The CISF has also initiated an internal inquiry into the incident. The police are reviewing the CCTV footage of the incident and are questioning witnesses to determine the sequence of events.
