Amazon India has made a major move toward establishing a comprehensive digital healthcare ecosystem with the introduction of its at-home diagnostics service, launched in partnership with Orange Health Labs.
Through the introduction of Amazon Diagnostics, the company is expanding into the healthcare space, offering a seamless experience that allows users to book lab tests, manage appointments, and instantly access digital reports directly via the Amazon app.
In a bold move to deepen its footprint in India’s healthcare sector, Amazon has launched its new at-home diagnostics service—Amazon Diagnostics—across six major Indian cities. This initiative marks a significant expansion of Amazon Medical, the tech giant’s integrated healthcare platform that already includes pharmacy and teleconsultation services.
Amazon’s at-home diagnostics service is debuting across six major Indian cities—Bengaluru, Delhi, Gurgaon, Noida, Mumbai, and Hyderabad—covering more than 450 pin codes. Offering a wide range of over 800 diagnostic tests, the service enables customers to book sample collections at their doorstep within 60 minutes and access digital reports for routine tests in as few as six hours, as per the company’s official statement.
Amazon has teamed up with Orange Health Labs to roll out its new at-home diagnostics offering.
According to the company, the launch marks a key milestone in its broader mission to deliver a fully integrated healthcare ecosystem for Indian customers. "This initiative reinforces the core of Amazon Medical by expanding upon our existing services in Pharmacy and Clinic," the company noted in its statement.
Amazon Diagnostics represents a significant step forward in making healthcare more accessible, reliable, and convenient for all our customers.

The service is designed to address common pain points in India’s diagnostics landscape, such as long wait times, inconsistent service quality, and limited access to timely care.
Together with Amazon, we will keep raising the bar, delivering an even faster, reliable, and insightful diagnostics experience for people across India.
Dhruv Gupta, Co-founder, Orange Health Labs
The launch comes on the heels of a $12 million investment round in December 2024, spearheaded by the Amazon Smbhav Venture Fund. Founded in 2020 and headquartered in Bengaluru, Orange Health Labs has drawn support from prominent investors including Accel, General Catalyst, Bertelsmann India, and Y Combinator, raising over $50 million to date.
As the demand for home-based healthcare continues to rise, Amazon’s entry into diagnostics could reshape how millions of Indians access preventive and routine medical care—without ever stepping out of their homes.
