A shocking incident occurred at the Kalaignar Centenary Multispecialty Hospital in Chennai, where a 53-year-old doctor, Balaji Jagannathan, was stabbed multiple times by a 26-year-old man. The accused, Vigneswaran, was reportedly upset over the treatment his mother received at the hospital. The police have registered a case under Section 307 (attempt to murder) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) against Vigneswaran.

According to reports, Vigneswaran's mother was undergoing cancer treatment at the hospital, and he had been accompanying her to her appointments. On the day of the incident, Vigneswaran allegedly entered the doctor's chamber and stabbed him at least seven times with a kitchen knife.
