India is deep into its various cleanliness missions like Swacch Bharat Abhiyan, Swacch Survekshan, etc.

There has been a considerable amount of progress when it comes to overall cleanliness and hygiene. However, no mission can change the mindset of some people who continue to litter garbage. Unfortunately, another incident of garbage being scattered on an Indian train was reported.

Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officer Awanish Sharan tweeted a picture of garbage being scattered in Vande Bharat Express on January 28. The caption read, "We The People." The caption might be small, but it encapsulated the disappointment of Mr. Sharan.

The picture shows a variety of litter like papers, plastic bottles, plastic sheets, containers, jars, wrappers, food particles, etc, being scattered. A railway employee is seen with a broom in his hand.

Indians usually blame the government for garbage. However, cleanliness won't happen unless each individual takes the initiative to not litter.

Railways Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw tweeted an update on the situation.
