The National Testing Agency (NTA) under the Union Ministry of Education held a press conference to address the concerns raised by the aspirants.

Subodh Singh, the DG of the National Testing Agency mentioned that the Education Ministry has formed a four-member panel to analyze the results of more than 1,600 students who received grace marks in the National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test Undergraduate (NEET-UG) 2024 exam.

The panel will reassess the potential discrepancies in the NEET-UG exam and a former UPSC chairman will chair this panel.

5. The admission process will not be delayed due to this.

Apart from these, the agency also refused the paper leak claims. NTA also justified the early release of the results. It was previously scheduled on 14th June 2024 but it released on 4th June 2024.

Will there be a result re-declaration?

The re-result will be for the 1600 candidates only who got grace marks in NEET-UG 2024.

The NTA has given an assurance that the re-result of these candidates will not impact the admission process.

Student have been protesting against the NEET-UG 2024 exam and even doctors and medical associations have also been concerned and asked NTA for a justification into this matter.

Will there be a re-examination?

There is no update on this as of now. Also, it is not likely that the exam will be re-conducted.

The director of NTA has also informed that the four member committee will evaluate the result of the 1600 candidates from 6 centers and then take a decision on re-conducting the exam.

If the committee feels there should be a re-examination, we will organize it.
