In a crackdown on drug trafficking, the Pune Police have seized a large cache of drugs, including LSD strips and hydroponic ganja, from three college graduates. The seized drugs are worth a staggering ₹19.54 lakh.
According to the police, the three accused, all in their early twenties, were arrested after a tip-off about their alleged involvement in drug trafficking. The police raided their residence and seized 40 LSD strips, 1.5 kg of hydroponic ganja, and other drugs.
We have recovered 250 grams of ganja of a strain called OG Kush which has been grown using hydroponic technique, 62 milligrams of the LSD strips and 15 grams of mephedrone, all totaling to Rs 17.4 lakh in the international market

The accused have been identified as graduates from a prominent college in Pune. They have been booked under various sections of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act. The police are investigating their links with other drug peddlers and suppliers.
The seizure of such a large quantity of drugs, particularly LSD strips and hydroponic ganja, is a cause for concern. These drugs are known to have serious health implications, particularly among young people. The police crackdown on drug trafficking is a welcome step, and it is essential to continue such efforts to curb the menace of drug abuse.
The police have also appealed to parents and educators to be vigilant about the activities of young people and to report any suspicious behavior to the authorities.
