A 16-year-old boy died of internal injuries after one of his distant relatives allegedly inserted an air compressor hose in his rectum 'for fun.' The incident reportedly took place in Pune at the Hadapsar Industrial Estate. The tragic incident happened on Monday around 10:30 a.m. while the accused and deceased were playing around in the food processing facility.
The deceased was identified as Motilal Babulal Sahu, who belongs to Manpur village in the Umaria district of Madhya Pradesh. He had visited his uncle, Shankardin Sahu, who is a factory worker at the same unit.
The police have arrested 21-year-old accused Dheerajsingh Gopalsingh Gaud, a worker at the unit. Gaud was also a worker at the same unit of that food processing facility.
Reportedly, Motilal was not an employee of the unit but regularly visited the food facility. He also knew all the workers. As per the police, Motilal and Gaud belong to Manpur village in the Umaria district of Madhya Pradesh. Motilal came to Pune two months ago with his uncle. Meanwhile, Gaud and Motilal became good friends.
On Monday, the deceased visited the food facility, where they started chatting and teasing. While sharing the light moments, the accused, Gaud, inserted an air compressor hose into the rectum of the victim. As the air from the compressor entered the stomach via the rectum, the deceased became unconscious and collapsed. He was promptly taken to the nearest hospital, where he died.
Shankardin Sahu, a deceased uncle who is living in an employee’s quarter on factory premises, filed a complaint with the police. A case has been lodged under Indian Penal Code Section 304-A (causing the death of any person by doing any rash or negligent act). Further investigation is underway.
Senior inspector Ravindra Shelke of the Hadapsar police said to the Times of India that Sahu died of internal injuries caused by a sudden explosion of air in his cavity.
A similar incident happened in the past, in 2022. The police had arrested the accused because of the death of a 16-year-old boy in Mehsana who died after the accused allegedly inserted the hose of an air compressor into his rectum while having fun. According to the police, the incident happened on the premises of Alok Industries in Kadi taluka. The victim, who was a resident of the Labour Company on the Chhatral-Kadi highway, allegedly fainted after the air compressor hose was inserted into his rectum. After his death at a hospital, police booked his co-worker, Kuldeep Vijaybhai, for a section under IPC 304. Police said the boy died due to internal injuries caused by an abrupt explosion of air in his cavity.
