Breaking into Medical Writing: Dr. Yogeeta V H’s Internship Story(4 / 5)

I was selected for the Pro Bono Medical Journalism Internship at MedBound Times. Starting out as a fresh BDS graduate, I had limited knowledge of medical writing and a smaller network in the healthcare field. This internship has instilled in me a sense of confidence to continue writing about medical innovations and has also helped me stay up-to-date with current medical advancements.

During orientation, I was intimidated by my fellow interns since all of them were senior professionals with significant experience in medical writing, while this was my first internship. But soon, I was put at ease by the unwavering support from Himani. She was patient and helped me understand the protocols. I started small, writing wires and rehashes, and then I moved on to conducting interviews and interacting with senior professionals in the field. It was a very enriching journey with MedBound Times. As a beginner, I believe the internship nurtured my potential to become a medical writer.

To conclude, I want to extend my warmest thanks to the team at MedBound Times for being so supportive and wonderful to work with. I hope to stay in touch with the community. MedBound Times will always have a special place in my heart.

Cheers!
