News from Hyderabad has emerged wherein the ex, the former Pharmacy Council Registrar granted certificates to undeserving candidates. The former Registrar of the Pharmacy Council, Mr. G Ramdhan, has come under scrutiny for issuing registration certificates to individuals not considered suitable. Students have levied allegations against him, asserting that even those who failed in the two-year course were given the certificates. For instance, a student who failed in one subject of Part 2 of the diploma course also received a certificate.

According to the Education Regulation 2020, chapter one stipulates that the minimum qualification should entail passing Part 1 and Part 2, alongside successful completion of Part 3. Another chapter outlines that the minimum criteria for passing involve achieving at least 40% in the theories and practical exams, as well as sessional marks for the two-year course.

Mr. Sanjay Reddy, the former President of the Council, asserts that issuing certificates to those who did not pass the examination violates the Pharmacy Act. He further contends that hundreds of students who failed the examination received certificates due to the former registrar's actions, urging the government to take appropriate action against those involved. It is noteworthy that this former registrar currently serves as the Deputy Director of the Drug Control Administration. When contacted, he stated that he was not fully aware and signed the certificates without complete understanding of the documents' approval process.
