The Rajasthan University of Health Sciences (RUHS) paramedical examinations have been disrupted after Jaipur Police uncovered an alleged cheating racket, leading to the arrest of four people and the cancellation of an examination centre in Jaipur. The Rajasthan State Allied and Healthcare Council has also suspended several ongoing paramedical diploma examinations conducted at the affected center until further orders.
According to Jaipur Police, the accused allegedly collected money from candidates by promising assistance during the RUHS paramedical examinations scheduled to begin on June 29. Investigators said the group planned to arrange "favorable" invigilators at a designated examination center to help candidates cheat during the examination.
Police arrested four individuals in connection with the alleged racket. According to multiple media reports, the arrested individuals have been identified as Krishna Kumar Saini, head of the paramedical department at S Karan College; Shankar Lal Jat, a radiology lecturer at the same institution; Ramkrishna Mandiwal, associated with Prabha Devi Memorial PG College; and Devkrishna Mandiwal, the college administrator.
In an interview with Deccan Chronicle, Deputy Commissioner of Police (Jaipur West) Prashant Kiran said police received information on June 27 about a group allegedly collecting money from students with pending first-year papers by assuring them they would receive assistance during the examination. During the investigation, officers recovered two diaries containing names of candidates and records of alleged payments. Police also seized mobile phones, cash transaction records, and PDF copies of candidates' admit cards.
According to police, the accused allegedly collected approximately ₹5.5 lakh from around 40 to 45 candidates as part of the scheme. Police said the investigation is continuing to determine whether additional individuals were involved.
Following complaints regarding examination irregularities and subsequent police action, the Rajasthan State Allied and Healthcare Council cancelled the examination center at Prabha Devi Memorial PG College with immediate effect.
In an official notice issued on June 29, the Council stated that the decision was taken in view of complaints regarding the conduct of examinations and disorder reported at the center. It also suspended theory examinations for several diploma courses, including Diploma in Clinical Laboratory Technology (DCLT), Diploma in Dialysis Technology (DDT), and Diploma in ECG Technology (DECGT), until further orders. The suspension affects first-year, supplementary, and remanded examinations across multiple academic sessions.

The Rajasthan State Allied and Healthcare Council said the action was taken to maintain the integrity and transparency of the examination process. The Council added that further instructions regarding the affected examinations would be issued separately.
Separately, students at the Prabha Devi Memorial PG College examination center staged protests after alleging delays in the distribution of question papers and poor examination management. Videos circulating on social media showed candidates expressing their dissatisfaction at the venue.
However, while these incidents occurred alongside the police investigation, authorities have not officially linked the reported administrative issues or student protests to the alleged cheating conspiracy.
Police said the investigation is ongoing to determine whether additional individuals were involved in the alleged racket and whether more candidates benefited from the scheme.
Meanwhile, the Rajasthan State Allied and Healthcare Council has said that further instructions regarding the affected examinations will be issued separately.
