I am a practicing dentist and the owner of Queen Mary Dental Clinic in Kerala.

What prompted you to choose this profession?

My parents guided me toward this profession.

What is the best part about being a dental student/professional?

Dentistry, combined with entrepreneurship as a dental clinic owner, ensures that you are always learning and evolving. It is like an ocean—there is always more to explore.

How do you like spending your free time? 

I enjoy traveling, shopping, and social media.

Which is your favorite subject in dentistry and why? 

Prosthodontics. I love the subject because I struggled with it during my college days, but I took as a challenge in rest of my dental career.

Which is your least favorite subject in dentistry?

Orthodontics

What are some studying tips you use to retain and understand things better?

I recollect what I have studied during my free time to reinforce my learning.

Composite restorations

What do you enjoy more, doing an RCT or extracting teeth?

Extraction

What are some challenges you face in your professional field?

The purchase and maintenance of dental equipment, supplies, and armamentarium in a dental practice is a real challenge.

Introvert

What has been the best/most memorable moment in your dental school so far?

When I confidently pulled out a firm molar tooth during my final oral surgery exam.

Has dentistry impacted your food choices? Like, do you consume less sugary and sticky food items? 

Dentistry has no impact on my food habits.

Brushing my teeth in the morning and night daily.

A Catholic Priest

Where would you like to work in the future?

I would like to continue working in my own dental clinic until retirement.

What is your dream travel destination?

Andaman and Nicobar Islands.
