I've done my Bachelor's in Dental Surgery from King George's Medical University (KGMU). My Year of admission is 2017 batch.

What do you do? 

Currently I'm practicing in Delhi.

What prompted you to choose this profession? 

Most of my family members have one dental issue or another. I guess that was the primary reason and the other one being my love for biology.

What is the best part about being a dental student/professional? 

The best part is that you get to be artistic with your treatment approach.

How do you like spending your free time? 

I like reading books and singing in my free time.

Which is your favorite subject in dentistry and why? 

Conservative Dentistry and Endodontics have to be my favorite subjects primarily because of the artistic side you get to use while treating patients.

What are some studying tips you use to retain and understand things better?

Oral Pathology was my least favourite subject but again, the knowledge of this subject helps you a lot during your clinical practice.

What are some studying tips you use to retain and understand things better?

I mostly made simplified notes in mini notebooks. Seeing less information and small size of the paper helped me in staying calm and retaining information.

Which dental procedure(s) you enjoy/anticipate doing the most?

I enjoy doing root canal treatment and dental extractions.

What do you enjoy more, doing RCT or extracting teeth? 

Definitely extracting teeth.

What are some challenges you face in your professional field?

Managing little kids in pediatric dentistry posting was a challenge.

How would your friends describe you? 

My friends describe me as funny, sweet and a bit bossy!

What has been the best/ most memorable moment in your dental school so far?

The time spent with friends had been the most memorable.

Has dentistry impacted your food choices? Like, do you consume less sugary and sticky food items? 

Definitely. I prefer having sweets with meal, if at all. I mostly avoid sticky food items in general.

As a dental health professional, what is your dental health care regime? 

Brushing twice a day, flossing once a day and keeping sugar intake in check.

If given a choice, what alternate career would you have opted for?

As a kid, I always wanted to be a scientist. I guess that's the alternate career I'd have opted for.

Where would you like to work in the future? 

I would love to be associated with WHO.

What is your dream travel destination?

Paris. I'm told it's worth the hype.

What is something you wish to change about the world?

I believe our generation is being more reactive and less patient. I wish to change that.
