I currently work as an orthodontist.

What is the best part about being a dental professional? 

The satisfied smile of my patients after treatment.

How do you like spending your free time?

I enjoy listening to music. I also try to stay updated in my field by reading articles. Recently, I’ve developed an interest in gardening.

Which is your favorite subject in dentistry and why? 

Orthodontics, because the transformation that orthodontic treatment brings to a patient is extremely rewarding.

Which is your least favorite subject in dentistry?

Public health dentistry

What are some studying tips you use to retain and understand things better?

I correlate theoretical concepts with practical knowledge and continuously revise what I’ve learned. Using flowcharts, diagrams, and mnemonics also helps.

Which dental procedure(s) you enjoy/anticipate doing the most?

Orthodontic cases which require "Bonding".

What do you enjoy more, doing an RCT or extracting teeth?

RCT

What are some challenges you face in your professional field?

Orthodontic treatments are usually long-term, making patient cooperation crucial. Irregular follow-ups or failure to comply with the doctor’s instructions can affect treatment outcomes.

How would your friends describe you? 

Hardworking and consistent

What has been the best/most memorable moment in your dental school so far?

Performing my first RCT (Root Canal Treatment).

As a dental health professional, what is your dental health care regime

Brushing and flossing daily.

Rinsing after every meal.

Going for a regular dental check up every 6 months.

If given a choice, what alternate career would you have opted for?

Engineering

Where would you like to work in the future? 

I would like to practice somewhere in abroad.

What is your dream travel destination?

Europe

I can sing really well.

I am not good at dancing.
