Mr. Shrikant Sabnis received a gift of one semester of Yoga teacher training from his family on his 60th birthday. Sounds boring right? However, what followed next was an obsession that defied the myth of aging.

Shrikant Sabnis and his wife Rekha Sabnis shifted from Pune to New Jersey in 1997. He was enrolled at Rutgers University. He spent most of his life working in safety-critical systems, designing, and implementing air control traffic systems.

However, the one semester of the Yoga teacher training course inspired Mr. Sabnis to take classes. He started taking the classes for free. People joined and the classes had expanded to around 13-14 places before the pandemic.

Mr. Sabnis started taking online classes during the pandemic. He said that the online classes not only helped people with their health but also develop new friendships during difficult times. The participants were people from all age groups and all parts of the world.
