Brazil: Doctor Allegedly ‘Pulls Baby’s Head Off During Childbirth’ in Front of the Father

There are a plethora of things that can go wrong when it comes to childbirth. There can be some complications caused due to natural causes or due to medical negligence. However, none could be this horrific if proven to be true.

Raneilly Coelho Santos was taken to the hospital for elevated blood pressure on April 24. The doctors induced her into labor a week later. The doctor allegedly in charge called the father to observe the procedure.

The Police Report Gives a Conflicting Story

The father reportedly said that he witnessed the baby move her lips and blink her eyes as she was born. However, the family's police report said that the doctor allegedly climbed on the mother's belly and ripped the child's head off.

It was reported that a social worker visited the family and said that the hospital would cover the costs of the baby's funeral. However, the family will have to sign certain documents with specified conditions.
