In Andhra Pradesh, campaigning for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections has taken an unexpected turn as reports emerge of condom packets featuring the names and symbols of the political parties, the YSRCP and TDP parties.

A viral video on social media shows men showcasing branded condom packets. It signals an unconventional strategy adopted by the key political players ahead of the anticipated polls. The video includes condom packets with symbols of Chief Minister Jagan Mohan Reddy's ruling YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) and N Chandrababu Naidu's Telugu Desam Party (TDP). Both parties in the state have reportedly distributed condom packets to voters with their party names and symbols on them.

In one video posted by YSRCP, a man could be heard speaking about why the TDP is distributing the condoms. YSRCP party on X (formerly known as Twitter) post said, "Finally distributing condoms to people for their party campaign @JaiTDP (Telugu Desam Party). Where is the publicity madness? Will we next share Viagra? At least stop there. Otherwise, will further decline @ncbn (N Chandrababu Naidu), @naralokesh (Lokesh Nara), and @PawanKalyan (Pawan Kalyan)?".

On the other hand, Telugu Desam Property (TDP) also posted a video of a man holding a condom packet with the YSRCP symbol and name on it. The party on X said, "Why are you shouting about preparations and readiness?". It was questioned if this was the "preparedness siddam' the party was talking about.

Siddam is a Telugu term that is used for Jagan Mohan Reddy's political campaigns. Earlier, three YSRCP candidates, YV Subba Reddy, G Babu Rao, and M Raghunadha Reddy, were elected unopposed to the Rajya Sabha from Andhra Pradesh.
