A Delhi painter who lost both his hands in a tragic accident gets back his hands after a successful surgery performed by the doctors at Ganga Ram Hospital in Delhi.

The man is a 45-year-old painter. He lost both his hands in a train accident that occurred in 2020. But miracles found a way. He underwent a bilateral hand transplant surgery at Ganga Ram Hospital in Delhi. The hands of Meena Mehta, who was declared brain dead are transplanted to the Delhi painter.

The doctors at Ganga Ram Hospital, in Delhi successfully performed a bilateral hand transplant surgery. This complex surgery lasted for 12 hours and involved connecting every nerve, artery, muscle, and tendon between the donor’s hands and the recipient's arms. The painter who is from an underprivileged background, lost his hope after the accident now he is going to hold the brush again and lead his life. He is the first case of a successful bilateral hand transplant in Delhi.
