Dental Surgeon Ends Life Over Debt

According to the police, Dr. Ashish took a heavy loan and was not able to pay it back.

Dr. Ashish Ganpatrao Mular, 35 years old and resident of plot no. 302, Kush Apartments, Ramteke Nagar, Nagpur, died by hanging himself on Saturday. Dr. Ashish was a dental, oral, and maxillofacial surgeon and was working as a consultant for dental implants, facial trauma, oral cancer, orthodontic implants, and treatment, etc. in a private hospital in Manewada, Nagpur.

On Saturday, around 11 p.m., he took his own life by hanging himself from a ceiling fan with a bedsheet at his apartment in Ramteke Nagar. His wife had gone to the maternity home to give birth, and nobody was at home when this incident happened. His friend, Dr. Yogesh Bhalerao, reached his house to meet him. After knocking on the door, when there was no response, he pushed the door hard, which resulted in the lock breaking, and found that his friend had taken his life. He informed the Ajni police about it.

Dr. Ashish was also an active life member of the Indian Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons.

According to the police, Dr. Ashish took a heavy loan and was not able to pay it back. He was stressed due to this. His body was sent to the postmortem, and an investigation was started.
