Nature Awards Inspiring Women in Science-

Celebrating and supporting the achievements of women in science, and all those who work to encourage girls and young women to engage with STEM subjects and stay in STEM careers around the world.

The Inspiring Women in Science awards honour and promote the accomplishments of women in science as well as those who strive to inspire young women and girls worldwide to pursue STEM fields and occupations.
Applications are being accepted in two prize categories: Scientific Achievement and Science Outreach.

US$50,000 will be given to two winners, and US$5,000 will be given to two runners-up.

Important dates

Opening date for applications: January 15, 2025
Deadline to apply: April 9, 2025
Evaluation of applications: April–August 2025
Notification of successful applicants: September 2025
Announced winner: October 2025

US$50,000 will be given to two winners, and US$5,000 will be given to two runners-up. Additionally, they will be invited to an award ceremony in New York or London, where lodging and travel costs will be paid for mentoring opportunities by The Estée Lauder Companies. Also,coverage on nature.com are part of the award.[1]

To promote the accomplishments of women in science as well as those who strive to inspire young women and girls worldwide to pursue STEM fields and occupations.

Applications are evaluated according to the following standards:

Category: Science Outreach

  • An explanation of your initiative.

  • The influence and success of your endeavour.

  • Future plans.

Category : Scientific Achievement

  • Scientific accomplishments.

  • Publications.

  • Actions that go beyond research.

Candidates that make the short list will have access to a private coaching and networking community in addition to being highlighted on the Nature Awards website.
