Fake Ola Driver Arrested: Doctors Rescue Woman from Human Trafficking

A shattering incident unfolded in Bengaluru when a 27-year-old woman narrowly escaped human trafficking insisting thanks to the quick thinking of two doctors. The woman had hailed a ride using the Ola app, but soon realized something was amiss.

The driver, posing as an Ola cab driver, began taking a detour from the scheduled route. Sensing danger, the woman sent a distress message to her friend, who immediately alerted the police. Meanwhile, the woman pretended to make a phone call, warning the driver that her friends were tracking her location.

As the driver continued to drive erratically, the woman spotted two doctors, Dr. Ashwin and Dr. Karthik, standing near a traffic signal. She swiftly got out of the car and approached them, pleading for help. The doctors quickly assessed the situation and sprang into action.

Dr. Ashwin and Dr. Karthik immediately called the police and provided the car's registration number. They also ensured the woman's safety until the police arrived. The timely intervention of the doctors saved the woman from potential trafficking.

The police arrested the fake Ola driver, identified as 32-year-old Ravi Kumar, and seized his vehicle. Preliminary investigations revealed that Kumar had tampered with the Ola app to pose as a genuine driver.
