Rumeysa Gelgi is a passionate advocate, public speaker, and activist who has made a name for herself by breaking records for her exceptional height. In 2021, she was recognized as the tallest living woman, and previously held the title of the tallest living teenager. Rumeysa has overcome numerous challenges throughout her life, including a diagnosis of Weaver Syndrome as an infant. Despite undergoing multiple surgeries and physiotherapy, Rumeysa has persevered with the unwavering support of her family, inspiring others with her resilience and determination.

The meeting between the two record-holders was a momentous occasion, with both women displaying immense warmth and affection towards each other. Jyoti Amge is from Nagpur, India, who has gained international recognition despite being born with achondroplasia, a form of dwarfism that has limited her growth. Initially, Jyoti's height was average until she turned five, after which she was diagnosed with the condition.
