Dr. Ali Alsamarah, an interventional cardiology specialist in the US, helped a child who required a bone marrow transplant become a real survivor. By being the patient's donor, he offered the patient a gift, and now that 'Good News Movement' has published his story on Instagram, it has touched people's hearts. Dr. Alsamarah quickly volunteered to donate his bone marrow after learning that he might be a match, according to the now-viral post. "Dr. Ali Alsamarah, an interventional cardiology expert at AdventHealth Ocala, received a call informing him that a young patient requiring bone marrow might be a potential match for him. The doctor didn't think twice about giving his own," the page's caption read. The article also discussed what the doctor had to say about the procedure. He admitted to being a little sore but expressed gratitude for the opportunity to lend a hand because of the way a donor had helped a buddy who was fighting cancer. To save lives, he wants to motivate people to donate their organs, the caption said.

Separately, speaking to WFLA News Channel 8, Dr. Alsamarah said, "I hope this message reaches people to be aware of the bone marrow donation program, as it will enrich the pool with more donors and therefore more potential matches for individuals in need. The process is essential to raise awareness and teach people about the potentially life-saving therapy." (Rehash/Rukhiya Naduvile Purayil)
