To combat the rising number of youth drug misuse cases, the city police of Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, Maharashtra, have formed a dedicated anti-narcotic drugs cell. This cell aims to restrict the movement of illegal narcotics inside the city's limits.

An inspector-rank officer is in charge of the cell, which seeks to resolve the problem successfully. The city police have established a dedicated helpline (+91-9529019061) so that the public can discreetly give relevant tips to the authorities.

Commissioner of Police Pravin Pawar launched the program after speaking with locals and inspecting the city's crime scene.

Following the study, Pawar realized that an exclusive cell was required to control the danger.
