Mumbai: While movies often draw inspiration from real life, occasionally, reality mirrors the silver screen. In a striking resemblance to a scene from Sanjay Dutt's Munna Bhai MBBS, a 22-year-old candidate for the Mumbai Police driver-constable post was arrested for allegedly cheating during the recruitment exam using a miniature hearing device.

Kushna Dalvi, a resident of Bhokardan in Maharashtra's Jalna district, was taking the exam at a Raigad military facility in Oshiwara, Mumbai, when his suspicious behavior caught the attention of the exam invigilators. Upon questioning, officials discovered a tiny hearing device concealed in his left ear. This device, invisible from the outside, was connected to a phone via Bluetooth, enabling communication.

A case has been registered against all three individuals involved in the cheating operation. (Representational Image: Pixabay)

Investigators found that Kushna’s two associates, Sachin Bavaskar and Pradeep Rajput, were on a phone call, feeding him answers through the discreet device. A case has been registered against all three individuals involved in the cheating operation. The police also confiscated a SIM card, a mobile phone, and the hearing device as evidence, and further investigation is underway.

The incident brings to mind the iconic scene from the 2003 Bollywood film Munna Bhai MBBS, where the protagonist, played by Sanjay Dutt, receives help during a medical entrance exam via a wired earphone.
