Fine dining restaurants are having a moment not only in India but worldwide. People who travel to exotic locations and try various new cuisines left no stone unturned to spend money on great lavish food and drinks. But is all of this expense justified, or is it simply unnecessary? One such fine dining establishment in Abu Dhabi has recently come to light. Nusr-et Gokce, better known as 'Salt Bae,' a Turkish chef, posted pictures of a massive food bill from his restaurant, leaving internet users stunned by the amount mentioned. Take a look at this:

Nusr-et Gokce, aka Salt Bae, rose to prominence after a 2017 meme went viral. His novel method of seasoning his steak with salt became an instant hit. His eccentric appearance in a white shirt and sunglasses added to the meme's relatability. Salt Bae rose to prominence and capitalized on it, opening restaurants in all major cities worldwide.

The Turkish chef's new restaurant prices in London shocked everyone in September 2021. And it turns out that his Abu Dhabi restaurant is no exception. Salt Bae posted a photo of a bill from his restaurant, The Galleria, on Al Maryah Island in Abu Dhabi. The total amount of the statement, dated November 17, 2022, was approximately AED 615,065 or Rs. 1.36 crores. The most expensive items on the menu included Bordeaux wine, baklava, and the signature gold-plated Istanbul steak.

Internet users were astounded to see the whopping bill of nearly Rs. 1.36 crores at Salt Bae's eatery. "This is ridiculous; that money will save a village from extinction" wrote one user.

" One of the users commented "That’s actually disgusting. Millions of people are dying for a penny and all the hefty amounts of money go to military, unlawful stuff and this. I swear this world is FILTHY."
