Fruit juice is a healthy option to keep you away from the hospital. However, in this case, it was the exact opposite.

Seven people were hospitalized as a restaurant served them liquid detergent instead of fruit juice in China. The incident took place at a restaurant in Zhejiang Province on January 16.

Sister Wukong was dining with her family and friends. She took a sip and knew something was wrong right away. Wukong's husband and her entire family tried some of the 'alleged' juice which resulted in an emergency hospitalization.

They had to undergo a procedure called gastric suction or stomach pumping to empty the contents of the stomach. All seven people are now in stable condition.

The restaurant admitted their mistake and will provide compensation to all seven people. They admitted that it was the waitress's fault who mistook liquid detergent for fruit juice. The waitress allegedly has an eyesight problem. She does not normally work as a waitress but was helping out for the day. She admitted her mistake, claiming she has an eyesight problem and is inexperienced.
