The demand to teach medicine and other professional courses in languages besides English has been made repeatedly over the years, and it was reiterated most recently by Union Home Minister Amit Shah when he launched the first three biochemistry, anatomy, and medical physiology books in Hindi on October 18.

In many developed countries like China, Russia, Germany, Japan, etc., higher and technical education is in self-language. If only! In India too it would have started much earlier.
