Mr. Sabir could be working in an established bank or a multinational corporate firm. Instead, he went back to his roots - the slum areas of Lahore to open a school called 'Slumabad.'

Slumabad was started in 2007 when Mr. Sabir was only 20 years old. He wanted to give back to the community to which he belonged. He noticed that the things which were easily available to others were not available to the slum kids.

Mr. Sabir thought education to be the best way to bridge that gap. He started teaching his cousins and their children. What started as one makeshift tent has now expanded into four. Slumabad now teaches around 650 students in the slum community.

Mr. Sabir was born in a slum area, which inspired him to open Slumabad. He used to sift through garbage to look for sellable goods like copper, paper, and plastic. He would also wash dishes and clean the windshields of cars at traffic signals to make ends meet.
