Three Indian Americans died by drowning after falling in a frozen lake in Arizona, USA. The tragic incident took place at Woods County Lake in Coconino County, Arizona.

Three Indian Americans died by drowning after falling in a frozen lake in Arizona, USA. The tragic incident took place at Woods County Lake in Coconino County, Arizona.

The three victims were of Indian origin. They were identified as Narayana Muddana (47) and his wife, Haritha Muddana, and their friend Gokul Mediseti. They were walking on a frozen lake but drowned after falling through the ice sheet.

According to the reports, the deputies at a nearby substation were called. Haritha Muddana was pulled out from the water soon. She was alive, and the rescue team administered live-saving measures. However, their efforts were in vain, as she passed away at the scene.

The search for Narayana Muddana and Gokul Mediseti continued. Unfortunately, they were found dead on the afternoon of December 27.

Woods Canyon Lake is located in the Apache-Sitgreaves National Forest. It is a location known for hiking.

According to the reports, the deputies at a nearby substation were called. Haritha Muddana was pulled out from the water soon. She was alive, and the rescue team administered live-saving measures. However, their efforts were in vain, as she passed away at the scene.

The couple leaves behind two minor daughters

The couple had two daughters aged 12 and 7 years old. The Arizona Department of Child Safety took custody of the orphaned girls.

According to reports, as many as five people reached out to ask if the girls are up for adoption. Around ₹5,00,000 have been raised through a fundraiser for the girls. The money will be used for their education and future.
