A prank turned fatal in Gujarat when a man died after his cousin allegedly inserted a high-pressure air compressor pipe into his private parts. The incident took place in the town of Kadi, where Prakash had visited his brother and cousin, who were working at a metal company. The victim, identified as Prakash, succumbed to his injuries at Ahmedabad Civil Hospital on Monday.
The incident took place when Prakash visited his brother, Ghevabhai, and cousin, Alpesh, at their workplace in Kadi. The factory was closed on Sunday for Republic Day, and Prakash decided to spend time with his family. While relaxing in the evening, Alpesh, in an attempt to play a prank, allegedly inserted a compressor pipe into Prakash’s private parts and released high-pressure air.
As a result of the sudden air pressure, Prakash’s body reportedly filled with air, leading to severe internal injuries. Witnesses stated that he immediately began vomiting and lost consciousness. He was initially taken to a nearby hospital but was later referred to Ahmedabad Civil Hospital. Unfortunately, he was pronounced dead by doctors upon reaching the hospital.
Ghevabhai, Prakash’s brother, has come forward with a statement explaining that Alpesh was well aware of the dangerous implications of using the high-pressure compressor pipe. According to Ghevabhai, Alpesh knew about the significant risks associated with inserting a compressor pipe into the human body, yet he proceeded with the prank, leading to Prakash’s untimely death.
Ghevabhai has lodged a formal complaint against Alpesh, accusing him of negligence and causing his brother’s death. The local police have launched an investigation following a complaint filed by Ghevabhai. They confirmed that the incident happened as a prank but resulted in a tragic outcome.
Industrial air compressors operate at extremely high pressures, and any misuse can cause life-threatening injuries. Medical experts warn that the sudden introduction of air into the body can lead to severe internal damage and even death.
