The United States police shot a 15-foot-long pet snake that was wrapped around the owner's neck.

The reports of a 28-year-old man having a cardiac arrest were reported. The police and paramedics had rushed to a home in Pennsylvania. When they reached, they discovered the man unconscious on the floor with the massive snake wrapped around his neck.

Speaking to the outlet, Upper Macungie Township Police lieutenant Peter Nickischer said, “It's one of those situations where the officers don't have the time, the liberty to ask a lot of questions.” Mr. Nickischer added, “They have to act right away and then it's a matter of, OK, let's get this person into the ambulance as soon as possible.”

The police clarified that the snake was long enough and its head was far enough from the man's body for the officers to safely take a shot. Despite being shot, the snake didn't die immediately and it just slithered away. The man was immediately pulled away and transported to a local hospital where he is receiving treatment. The identity of the man hasn't been revealed.

The police informed that they discovered multiple snake enclosure's in the victim's house. They are still not sure about the species of that particular snake.

The police described the snake to be "very large and very thick". The lieutenant said that he has never seen anything like this in his 19-year career.
