MedBound Times – Intern Review (Medical Content Writing)

By Samruddhi Pawar

Interning at MedBound Times was one of the most eye-opening and rewarding experiences I’ve had during my academic journey. Coming from a pharma and biotech background, I always knew I loved writing, but I didn’t quite know how to blend it with science—until this internship happened.

What stood out to me was how real and hands-on everything felt. There were no robotic templates or rigid rules. From the very beginning, I was encouraged to explore topics I truly cared about—whether it was new vaccine research, public health awareness, or the science behind common supplements. The editorial team gave meaningful feedback that actually helped me grow. It wasn’t just red marks; it was thoughtful suggestions that made me look at my own writing differently.

I also appreciated the balance between freedom and support. There was space to be creative, but also a clear sense of responsibility—especially when writing on medical topics where accuracy and sensitivity matter so much. Seeing my name published on articles read by a larger audience was incredibly motivating and gave me a real sense of purpose.

One unexpected bonus was interacting with other interns from diverse health backgrounds. It sparked new ideas, and some of our casual discussions actually helped shape better stories.

All in all, MedBound Times gave me much more than a certificate. It helped me discover a niche I genuinely enjoy and a skill I now feel confident building on!
