A 38-year-old man from North Carolina, United States, has started an online fundraising campaign to help pay for a medical procedure related to his diagnosed micropenis. The fundraiser, launched on June 26, seeks $22,000 to cover the cost of penile enlargement treatment, which he says could improve his ability to urinate and reduce his dependence on adult incontinence products.

Why Is Michael Phillips Raising $22,000 for a Micropenis Procedure?

Michael Phillips, who has previously received media attention after claiming to have the world's smallest penis, said his erect penile length measures 0.38 inches (0.97 cm).

According to his fundraising page, he has saved part of the required amount but is seeking public support to finance the remaining cost of the procedure.

I am reaching out for help with a deeply personal medical challenge.

Phillips wrote on the crowdfunding page that he had already saved as much money as he could toward the treatment but still required financial assistance to cover the remaining expenses. He said the planned treatment is intended to improve urinary function rather than permanently treat the underlying condition.

According to New York Post, the crowdfunding campaign had raised more than $12,000 from nearly 200 donors within the first two days. The crowdfunding platform has also confirmed that the fundraiser was verified before publication.

Why Is Michael Phillips Seeking the Penile Enlargement Procedure?

Phillips said the planned treatment is intended to improve daily functioning rather than cure his underlying condition. The procedure involves injectable dermal fillers that increase penile girth.

Dermal fillers may increase penile circumference but are not considered a standard treatment for micropenis. Management depends on the underlying cause and may include hormone therapy during infancy or childhood, while reconstructive or surgical procedures may be considered in selected adults.

Phillips shared the details in his online fundraising campaign, titled "Help Michael Get Micropenis Enlargement Procedure."

This has been a source of daily frustration and embarrassment especially when traveling which I like to do, and it has affected my confidence and independence.

He stated that increasing penile size may help him urinate more effectively and reduce his reliance on adult absorbent underwear. He also said the procedure could make everyday activities, including travel, easier to manage.

While this procedure will not cure my micropenis condition, it would make a significant difference in my daily life by helping me avoid the need for pull-ups and regain some normalcy and comfort.

Phillips also stated that he currently wears adult pull-ups following medical advice because of the difficulty he experiences while urinating. He said improving urinary function is his primary reason for seeking the procedure, rather than cosmetic enhancement.

Speaking to IGV Official in a previous interview, Phillips said his condition has made it challenging to pursue sexual relationships. He stated that he is still a virgin and described discussing the issue publicly as difficult because of the stigma and embarrassment surrounding it. During the interview, he jokingly described himself as having the "world's smallest" penis.

How Michael Phillips Raised Awareness About Micropenis

Phillips first attracted international media coverage earlier this year after publicly stating that he believed he had the world's smallest penis. At that time, he said he wanted to increase awareness about micropenis and encourage open discussions about the condition.

By sharing his experience publicly, Phillips said he hopes to encourage greater awareness and understanding of micropenis, a rare medical condition that can affect urinary, reproductive, and psychological well-being.

Micropenis is an unusually small penis caused by hormonal or developmental factors. According to the Cleveland Clinic, the condition is typically diagnosed in infancy or early childhood based on stretched penile length below established clinical thresholds.

Micropenis is estimated to occur in approximately 1.5 per 10,000 live male births and is typically associated with hormonal or genetic factors rather than abnormalities in penile structure.

I’m reaching out to anyone who understands how challenging this situation can be. Your support would mean the world to me and help me take a big step toward living with more dignity and independence.

In his latest fundraising appeal, Phillips reiterated that his goal is to improve his quality of life. He said the planned procedure is expected to address functional difficulties associated with his condition rather than provide a permanent cure.
