The college was founded in 1990. It is now spread over an area of 54 acres. The college consists of multiple buildings with a beautiful statue of Lord Ganesha at the main entrance which signifies the deep spiritual belief of the members associated. There are various departments with a beautiful dissection hall on the ground floor that is a place you will never forget even after the completion of your course. The building also consists of a central research laboratory that helps you with all your research-related dreams. The main building consists of the college of MBBS and physiotherapy and while the nursing college has a separate building that is newly constructed. 120 students are admitted every year in the MBBS batch and 32 students in the physiotherapy batch.

The college provides an in-house library that is centrally air-conditioned with a free membership to the students. There are reading rooms and discussion rooms available for those who learn interactively. The library withholds numerous books on every subject with different authors for ease of studying and keeping the students' demands in consideration. There is also the provision of a coffee machine so that all the students remain focused and fresh. There are huge lecture halls, auditoriums, and a museum. Accommodation facilities are provided and charged with minimal fees annually as a separate hostel for the boys and girls along with a mess that provides breakfast, lunch, tea, and dinner near the college itself which makes it easy for the students to reach the college on time. The presence of a turf, basketball court, and tennis ground enhances the overall experience of living in the hostel. A huge ground is there where students gather in the evening to play cricket and football. There are two separate canteens for the students and the hospital patients or their families. There is a gym, yoga center, and an ATM for the convenience of students. Other facilities like supermarkets, banks, restaurants, etc. are present very close to the college.

The faculty and the students celebrate every festival very enthusiastically whether it is Holi, Ganesh Chaturthi, or Janmashtami. dancing, singing, and other performances light up the entire aura. Every year the annual fest celebrated in the college is known as ‘gathering’ and it consists of various events like fashion shows, dances, movie nights, skits, antakshari, etc. The faculties encourage every student to take part in various competitions and the medically important days are celebrated by making posters, street plays, and creating awareness among the society. Various conferences are held on campus which helps to improve your insight into the emerging field and its new innovations. Different opportunities are presented to students which help them to build their careers and learn new things which help them to proceed in life.
My experience at Dr. VPMC has shaped me into the person that I am today, always keen on learning and grabbing new opportunities that come my way. It has taught me to face new challenges in life and incorporate values of discipline, integrity, punctuality, responsibility, and team spirit. I will always be grateful to the faculty and other staff for such an amazing experience.
