How would you sum up your current assignment/job/Institute/professional life?
I am equally passionate about teaching graduate students and conducting research in the area of Virology in the context of One Health.

One Health, Virology, Infectious Diseases, Microbiology, Parasitology, Preventive Veterinary Medicines
Things that you are passionate about concerning the clinical/research/current aspects of your profession:
Scientific research is constant learning. Working on new and unfamiliar themes is fantastic.
What made you choose teaching or mentoring as a profession?
Teaching allows me to learn more than I teach. It keeps a piece of me alive in my students forever.
What would the students be surprised to find about you?
Our career is a journey that demands daily, uninterrupted effort. We often get frustrated, but we have to be resilient and persistent. Failing is absolutely normal (as we are human) and is also fundamental because only through errors can we find the path to success.

There is nothing I dislike. I am passionate about life and knowledge, and I believe mastering a subject eliminates any negative feelings.
What are your fields of interest in Research/clinical practice?
Veterinary Medicine disciplines, Virology, Epidemiology, Infectious Diseases, Microbiology, Seroepidemiological and Molecular-Epidemiological Research of Zoonotic Diseases.
What are your career goals or expectations?
My goal is to always give my best in all aspects of life and contribute to the field of Veterinary Medicine.
What You Would Be Doing if Not in the Current Profession?
I believe fate guides us to where we should be, so it's challenging to imagine an alternative path.
What do you like to do in your leisure time?
Listening to classical music, watching good movies, and enjoying a good wine.
What is one of your hidden talent(s) that you would like us to know?
I consider myself a modest cook.
What change would you like to bring about in the Education sector?
Making education a tool for social change rather than just a business, and ensuring it is accessible to all.
What makes a 'good day' at work/college/institute?
Leaving the classroom tired but knowing I gave my best.
What current trends/practices are baffling to you?
The increase in distance learning.
Who do you idolize and why?
My family, particularly my mother, who is a Portuguese language teacher, and my whole family, who continues to teach me something new every day.
