A woman from Delhi has alleged that medical negligence during her gall bladder surgery at a private nursing home in Ghaziabad left her with serious complications, requiring a second corrective surgery. The allegations gained widespread attention after videos of the patient confronting the operating doctor went viral on social media.

According to the patient's account, the doctor allegedly dismissed the complication as "Allah's will" when she questioned him about the surgical outcome and later offered between ₹500 and ₹1,000 to settle the matter.

The allegations gained widespread attention after a video shared by Delhi Up-to-date went viral on social media. In the video, the patient discusses the incident and claims that Dr. Mohammad Nadeem made the remark when the patient confronted him about the alleged surgical error.

According to News18, Dr. Nadeem has denied responsibility for any medical negligence.

Patient Claims Complications Began Weeks After Gall Bladder Surgery

The complainant, identified in media reports as Noor Saba, is a resident of Kardam Puri in Delhi's Shahdara area. She alleged that she underwent gall bladder removal surgery at Alvi Nursing Home in Loni, Ghaziabad, on February 17, 2026.

According to her, she initially recovered after the procedure but began experiencing severe health problems approximately 15 to 20 days later. She returned to the same nursing home, where doctors reportedly diagnosed her with jaundice and admitted her for two days. However, she alleged that her condition did not improve and that she was not provided with a satisfactory explanation for the cause of her illness.

According to her account, she subsequently developed persistent abdominal pain, yellowing of the eyes and skin, and progressive weakness, prompting her to seek treatment elsewhere.

Patient Says Second Hospital Identified Surgical Injury

Seeking further treatment, Saba said she consulted another hospital, where doctors allegedly informed her that an internal structure, described in reports as a vein, had been accidentally cut during her gall bladder surgery. The exact nature of the injured structure has not been independently verified.

She claimed the injury led to jaundice and required a second surgery to repair the damage. Following the corrective surgery, her condition reportedly improved.

Video Shows Heated Exchange With Doctor

Videos circulating on social media appear to show Saba confronting the operating doctor, identified in reports as Dr. Nadeem, over the alleged surgical error.

The patient further alleged that she was later offered between ₹500 and ₹1,000 to settle the matter instead of receiving accountability for the alleged negligence.

CMO Seeks Doctor's Explanation After Patient's Complaint

News18 reports that the patient subsequently filed a complaint with the local Sub-Divisional Magistrate (SDM). Following the complaint, the Chief Medical Officer (CMO) reportedly summoned the doctor to provide an explanation regarding the allegations.

Dr. Nadeem has denied responsibility for any medical negligence. The patient is reportedly seeking compensation and appropriate action against the nursing home.
