Sanghavi N Deshpande Reveals How MedBound NewsGram Academy’s Course Helped Her Master Medical Writing, SEO, and Publishing Skills (Batch-14)
Certificate Course in Medical Journalism Writing and Digital Media(5 / 5)
I recently completed the Certificate Course in Medical Journalism, Writing, and Digital Media offered through MedBound NewsGram Academy, and the experience proved to be both enriching and professionally valuable. Designed as a hands-on training program, the course aims to help healthcare learners develop credible medical storytelling and digital communication skills while understanding the evolving landscape of online media. Over the duration of the program, it introduced practical elements of writing, editing, publishing, and optimizing health content, bridging the gap between clinical knowledge and public communication.
One of the most impactful aspects of the internship was its structured yet flexible learning environment. The curriculum covers multiple modules, from foundations of medical journalism to SEO, analytics, CMS operations, and responsible use of AI tools, ensuring exposure to both journalistic principles and digital publishing workflows. Participants are trained to write and publish health-related content, apply SEO strategies, operate CMS platforms, and interpret performance metrics using tools such as Google Analytics and Search Console. The program also emphasizes ethical reporting and evidence-based communication, which is particularly important when translating medical information for broader audiences.
The hands-on nature of the internship further strengthened my learning. Activities such as article writing, editing, publishing tasks, and interviewing experts helped develop confidence in presenting medically accurate information clearly and responsibly. Programs like this are specifically designed for healthcare students and professionals, offering mentorship, author profiles, certification, and opportunities to contribute to editorial projects while learning real newsroom processes.
Overall, the course enhanced my writing skills, improved my understanding of digital health communication, and broadened my perspective on career possibilities beyond conventional clinical roles. It demonstrated how effective medical communication can support patient education, public awareness, and professional growth. For anyone interested in combining healthcare knowledge with writing or media, this internship provides a practical foundation and meaningful exposure to the field of medical journalism.
I would like to sincerely thank my mentor Himani Negi for her constant guidance, encouragement, and patience throughout the process, which played a crucial role in shaping my learning experience and confidence in medical writing.
