  1. What do you do?

I am a General Practitioner who attends to patients' needs at the primary level, stabilizes them, and then refers those who require specialist care. In other words, I am the gateway to hospital care.

  2. What part of your profession? What made you choose this profession?

I chose this profession because I have always had a passion to impact lives as much as I can within the limited time we have on earth. It is an indescribable feeling to see people come to me feeling sick and moody but leave smiling and feeling better in just a few days.

  3. Do you like reading? What was the last thing you read?

While growing up, reading was one of my hobbies, but work and fatigue have taken over, leaving me with less time for reading. However, I do enjoy reading inspirational books. The last book I read was "Don't Sweat the Small Stuff... and It's All Small Stuff" by Richard Carlson.

  4. What is your favorite dish?

My favorite dish is Nigerian Jollof rice, which is unrivaled in my opinion.

  5. How would your friends describe you?

My friends would describe me as compassionate, easy-going, funny, and focused. I am someone who pays attention to details.

  6. Who would you like to travel with?

I would love to travel with my family.

  7. What is your least favorite subject?

My least favorite subjects are Anatomy and Biochemistry. No matter how long I study them, the information never seems to stick. It's more of a cramming process for me.

  8. Your favorite subjects?

My favorite subjects are Pediatrics, followed by Cardiology, Nephrology, and Pharmacology. The others are just average for me, nothing special.

  9. What’s something you wish to change about the world?
If there is one thing I could change about the world, it would be the fact that many people still die from simple illnesses like malaria and typhoid fever due to a lack of funds. Most of these patients have to pay out of pocket. If I could change something, it would be to make accessible health insurance available to all, so people don't have to worry about paying when they are sick.

  10. If your journey was/were a movie, what would it be called?

If my journey were a movie, it would be called "Thriller" because it would be thrilling to hear about my life's journey from birth to where I am today.

  11. What are you passionate about?

I am passionate about helping as many people as possible. The smile of gratitude when I am able to help someone is heartwarming.

  12. What do you love to do in your leisure time?

In my leisure time, I enjoy playing video games, watching movies, and spending time with my family, including my lovely wife and our one-year-old daughter.

  13. Best/memorable moment?
One of my most memorable moments was when I had to donate my blood to one of my pediatric patients during my housemanship seven years ago. I'm grateful that the baby survived, and the joy the parents felt still resonates with me. It's something I would do again if given the opportunity.

  14. What do you hate the most?

I dislike insincerity, dishonesty, lies, and intimidation (bullying). I am willing to stand up against bullies anywhere I encounter them because all bullies are cowards who prey on the weak.

  15. If given a choice, what alternate career would you have opted for?

If I had the choice, I would have opted for a career in law. I admire the legal profession because lawyers are widely read. I am impressed when a lawyer can discuss medicine as if they were a medical professional. I also enjoyed studying Medical Law and Jurisprudence during medical school, as it opened my eyes to various aspects of medical litigation.

  16. What is your dream travel destination?

My dream travel destinations include Israel and Jerusalem for a pilgrimage, the Vatican City, the Maldives for relaxation with my family, Santorini in Greece, and Zanzibar in Tanzania.

  17. Where would you like to work in the future?

My future goal is to work in Australia, as it is my dream country to practice medicine. I am working towards making that a reality with God's grace.

  18. Finally, a quote you relate to.

A quote I relate to is, "Never make a joke out of someone's misfortune."

  19. What else would you like to tell about yourself?

That's all about me. I'm just a simple guy who enjoys having fun whenever I have the time. I believe that life is too short, so it's important to make the best of it while we still can.
