Dr. Du Na who treated Xiaoyu at the Fourth People's Hospital in Chengdu said that Xiaoyu's condition might co-occur with other mental illnesses such as depression, anxiety, and bipolar disorder. People suffering from a mild form of this condition can recover on their own and they can also find ways to manage their own emotions. But, severe cases require medical treatment.
