ESIC Sanath Nagar Hospital Sets Benchmark in Public Healthcare and Education

The ESIC Medical College & Hospital and Super Specialty Hospital at Sanath Nagar, Hyderabad, has emerged as a national benchmark in public healthcare and medical education under the Ministry of Labour & Employment. Established on a 21-acre campus with an additional 11 acres reserved for expansion, the facility is dedicated to delivering high-quality, affordable care to over 7.26 million Insured Persons (IPs) and their dependents.

Since 2019, the twin hospitals have consistently earned the title of Best Performing ESIC Hospital in the category for facilities with more than 500 beds. Accreditations from NABH (Hospital & Blood Bank), NABL Entry Level, and ISO affirm the institution’s commitment to excellence. Equipped with 1,044 beds, including 159 ICU beds and 45 dialysis beds alongside 10 modular operation theatres and five advanced OT suites, the hospital supports an average of 3,200+ daily OPD visits and over 200 admissions, making it one of ESIC’s most active medical hubs.

Sanath Nagar offers a broad spectrum of super specialties. In Cardiology and CTVS, procedures such as TAVI/TAVR, CABG, device closures, and electrophysiological interventions are routinely conducted. The Nephrology and Urology units provide round-the-clock dialysis and perform both live and cadaver donor kidney transplants. Neuroscience teams also undertake complex procedures like awake craniotomies, stereotactic biopsies, and intraoperative monitoring.

Oncology, Pediatric Surgery, Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery, and Hematology departments boast low mortality rates and advanced care, including bone marrow transplants. Emergency services are operational 24/7, complemented by IT-based diagnostic systems like PACS and a Laboratory Information System integrated with Dhanwantri HER, which enables paperless, real-time reporting of Immuno‑Histochemistry, Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, and PCR tests
