A roommate is a person with whom we not only share living space but our professional and personal lives. Some people have found best friends for life in their roommates. However, sharing a room with a stranger can sometimes take a dark turn. Especially when your roommates are brothers and gang up on you.
That's exactly what happened with Sameer Sattar. The 30-year-old had come to Gurgaon from Ghaziabad and was living on rent with two brothers. Sattar was stabbed by two of his roommates as he complained about them for not flushing the toilet.
The brothers Manoj Kumar and Raj Kumar had a separate toilets for the two of them. However, Sattar had given them permission to use his toilet if needed provided they kept it clean. The two brothers would never flush the toilet after use. Despite regular requests from Sattar, the brothers continued with their bad habits. Sattar was forced to complain to the landlord Ram Karan. The landlord contacted the brothers and scolded them to keep the toilet clean.
Sattar returned to his apartment on February 21. While parking his bike, he saw Manoj rushing toward him and abusing him. Meanwhile, Raj came from behind and brutally stabbed Sattar in his back. The duo then stabbed him in his chest and fled the scene. Sattar fell unconscious and was transported to a nearby hospital.
It took Sattar around 25 days to recover and lodge a complaint. The brothers haven't been caught yet. Sattar filed an FIR under sections 323 (voluntarily causing hurt), 34 (common intention), and 506 (criminal intimidation) under the IPC.
