In a terrible turn of circumstances, B. Ruthvik, a 30-year-old Hyderabad student pursuing higher education in the United States, died on February 16 following a massive brain stroke. Ruthvik, a recent graduate of Texas A&M University, has been actively pursuing employment in the United States. The devastating incident happened when he was eating lunch with friends, resulting in a sudden collapse. An ambulance was dispatched quickly, and he was taken to the hospital, where doctors detected a clot in his brain. Despite surgical intervention, the left side of his body did not respond.

Ruthvik's friend, B. Shyam, set up a GoFundMe campaign to seek money for his medical treatment. The page received a lot of attention, with 1,200 people contributing $57,000, falling short of the $200,000 goal. The cash was intended to cover Ruthvik's treatment expenditures in the United States.

In an update on the GoFundMe website, Shyam conveyed his sadness over Ruthvik's death, saying, "With heavy hearts, we share the somber news of Ruthvik's passing." Ruthvik was in post-surgery observation, fighting for his life. Despite a courageous fight for life, Ruthvik was confirmed brain dead a few days ago."

Ruthvik's body was flown back to Hyderabad, where it arrived on Monday, causing deep anguish among his family and community in Trimulgherry, Secunderabad, Telangana. The young graduate's father is a retired official from the road transportation department.

The terrible episode highlights the uncertainty of life and the speed with which unforeseen health difficulties can change the path of one's journey. Ruthvik's quest for further education and employment prospects in the United States was cut short, leaving a gap in the lives of those who knew and cared about him.
