An MBBS student, Sachin, was astonished when her landlady asked him to share a flat with her daughter, who was also preparing for her NEET exam. Sachin shared about the unusual incident on X (formerly known as Twitter) and sought advice from netizens. The student lives in Delhi-NCR in a 3BHK flat along with two other roommates.

Sachin shared on X, My flat owner messaged me that her daughter is appearing for the NEET exam this year. She is not that good in studies, and her physics is also very weak, so she will take admission to our private college (Private). She will live with me. What should I do? Should I ask her to decrease my rent?”

He also clarified that the landlady trusts him more than her own son and wants her daughter to have a separate room in the same flat. Sachin wrote, she trusts him a lot. He wouldn’t be lying if he said she trusts him more than her son”.

The MBBS student’s story amazed the X users, who responded to the post. While a section of users asked the student to be wary, others laughed it off. One of the X users commented, “Yes, you should ask her to reduce the rent. But honestly, I’d think a dozen times before letting their daughter in. You’d miss your privacy and a few other things that many others have already mentioned.” Another one advised, “Ask her to decrease rent, but legally, on the rent agreement, it’ll just be your name. I would say don’t allow her to stay. Change your flat if required.”

“Give her the best advice of her life. Don't take MBBS. Save your life. And if you are not good in studies, then definitely you should not take it,” the third user wrote.

Apprehensively, Sachin’s query was met with a lot of disbelief. A majority of people said that it was a bad idea to entertain the landlady's request.
