Ulpe collapsed from a heart attack at his home in Kasaba-Bawada and was immediately rushed to a private hospital. Although attempts were made to revive him, the medical staff pronounced him dead. His devastated family began preparing for his funeral and arranged for the ambulance to take his body back home.
As the ambulance traveled to Ulpe’s residence, his wife noticed movement in his fingers as the vehicle crossed a speed bump. In disbelief, she alerted the family, and they immediately returned to the hospital. Upon re-examination, doctors confirmed that Ulpe was alive, prompting a swift shift in his care.
Ulpe was quickly placed under medical care, where he underwent an angioplasty procedure. In a remarkable recovery, he was able to walk out of the hospital just two weeks later, leaving both his family and the medical community in awe.
While the family expressed gratitude for their loved one's revival, they questioned the accuracy of the death declaration. They also expressed concerns over the standards of medical care provided during such critical moments. One family member expressed gratitude for the second chance, but also mentioned their concern about how many others might not have been as fortunate.
Ulpe shared his personal experience of the day he suffered the heart attack.
I had come home from a walk and was sitting after sipping tea. I felt dizzy and breathless. I went to the bathroom and vomited. I don’t remember what happened afterward, including who took me to the hospital.
