The Rajasthan Police have issued a serious warning for medical aspirants and their families as the 2025 NEET Undergraduate exam is drawing close. The advisory was in response to the growing incidence of cyber fraud, wherein scammers are claiming to possess and sell leaked NEET exam papers at extremely high prices.

Fake NEET Leaks: A Modus Operandi

According to the National Board of Examinations and the Rajasthan Cyber Crime Branch, these so-called "leaks" are actually part of a grand scheme. Fraudsters operate through messaging apps such as Telegram and other social media platforms, luring students with the promise of some "leaked" question papers, from as little as ₹50,000 to amounts upwards of ₹70,000.

One of the Telegram channels entitled "NEET PG Leaked Materials" boasts a following of over 20,600, per the authorities.

Exam Integrity Remains Intact, Say Officials

The police added that NEET-UG is an extremely secure and confidential process and even the National Testing Agency (NTA) has been assured about the integrity of the examination, which comes under their purview as far as the national exam for admission into undergraduate medical programs is concerned, in view of the stringent security arrangements that are in place.

DGP's Warning: Don't Share Sensitive Information

Director General of Police Hemant Priyadarshi pointed out the increasing anxiety among students and parents because of these frauds. He instructed hopefuls not to share personal details such as roll numbers, bank account numbers, UPI IDs, or OTPs with persons unknown to them, whether on an individual basis or in the context of any online group.

He urged citizens to raise their voices in reporting any suspicious activity they encountered, together with any screenshot or group link, to the Cyber Helpline (1930), Cyber Crime Reporting Portal, or the nearest police station.

Awareness To Survive

  • Do not believe or act on any message that promises access to NEET papers.

  • Avoid Telegram or WhatsApp groups that are offering "leaked materials".

  • Enlighten your friends and relatives about the scam.

  • When in doubt, report it—better-safe-than-sorry.

Tip: Preparation is the only sure way to achieve success in NEET—never attempt any shortcuts. Don't let the cybercriminals ruin your dreams.
